View Full Version : JSF+SGX = Results
erik.whitman April 6th, 2008, 09:49 AM Here is what I have been able to accomplish since finding JSF.com & being on ~SGX~. Ifound JSF.com in Aug 07. I started "cutting" in Oct 07 and got down to 185 lbs in no time. I learned so much from JSF.com, then I hurt my shoulder pretty bad and had to take some time off. I started ~SGX~ 28 Jan 08 since then I have been losing weight/fat like crazy. It seems almost too easy=). I plan to continue cutting till I hit 6% BF, then I want to just maintain my progress for a couple months before I start a "SLOW" bulk. Perhaps SUP2. But here I am...
Stats
Oct 07
Weight: 200
BF%: 22 ish (?)
Neck: 17.0
Chest: 42.5
Waist: 37.0
Hips: 41.0
Jan 08
Weight: 185
BF%: 15 ish (?)
Neck: 16.5
Chest: 42.0
Waist: 35.5
Hips: 39.5
Apr 08
Weight: 166
BF%: 7.75 ish (Based on Average of 4 Different Calculators)
Neck: 15.75
Chest: 39.25
Waist: 31.0
Hips: 37.0
Any estimates on my current BF% would be appreciated. =)
John Stone April 6th, 2008, 10:00 AM Awesome work!!
I'm not too good at bodyfat estimates from photos--especially without seeing the legs--but I'd put you between 8% and 9%.
probelia April 6th, 2008, 10:47 AM These are most definitely inspiring results!
I can't offer any advice on the body fat apart though. I'm no expert in these matters.
Shamie April 6th, 2008, 04:18 PM Great abs. I hope when I get to your weight, my abs look as impressive as yours. Great work.
erik.whitman April 6th, 2008, 04:42 PM Awesome work!!
Thanks Man. :tu:
...especially without seeing the legs...
I have been trying to figure out how to do this. It is REALLY hard trying to take a dacent pic of my legs. Always ends up at a wierd angle and shows no definition. How do you take your update pics? I try to get as much of me in the pic as I can. Maybe I can zoom out so I can get more of me in the pic and crop the photo to the size I want. Is this how you do it?

Just place the camera far enough away from you to get your entire body in the frame. Take it at the highest resolution your camera offers, and then crop it down and resize it as needed.
Or, just take two pictures: upper body and lower body. :)
smalltex April 6th, 2008, 05:02 PM Great job Erik. Echoing the fact that abs look great. It looks like you've lost weight without losing much muscle mass at all. Just curious if the SGX diet was difficult to follow. I'm tempted to try it.

I would say go for it. :tu: For me the protocal was not that hard to adjust to. I was already eating about 90% according to ~SGX~ and just made some moderate tweaks to my diet to fall in line with my protocol. If you have been following the advice here on JSF.com: working out consistantly, doing regular cardio vascular training, & eating clean for some time now, and you are disciplined and determined then ~SGX~ should be fairly easy to follow. Results are almost guaranteed if you follow the plan, work hard, and stay motivated.
PS Is that you in your avatar? If so you are already frikin ripped and pretty damn yoked! I would like to add some lean mass to my frame in the next few months and I have seen your avatar before and thought "Damn that is about how I would like to look."
smalltex April 7th, 2008, 11:02 PM Yep, that's me in the avatar. Appreciate the compliment.
From your description, it sounds like SGX would be something I could do. I'm no where near the bodyfat % that you've hit and would like to see if I could get closer to what you've done in that respect. You've made a heck of a lot of progress. Everytime I try on my on, I seem to lose too much lean mass so I give up. I think it's a combo of not exactly knowing what to do with the diet and my tendency to not really enjoy cardio like I should.
regrowth April 9th, 2008, 06:59 AM wow your looking awesome! thats some serious 'jaw droping' stuff!

Whoopas5 April 14th, 2008, 06:10 PM What's your total Calorie intake on workout days and on non-workout days?
Just wondering...
I've been doing 45 min LISS fasted in the morning and working out at night 2 on 1 off. On workout days, I'm around 2296 cals (170g carbs, 264g prot, 56g fats...carbs pre/post/post2, other meals p+f only) and non workout around 1856 cals (25g carbs only 70g fats, 264g prot, protein/fats all meals....1 meal p+c 20g carbs).
I'm about 175 lbs at 10-11% now but abs only show when I flex...so trying to cut to see abs but don't want to go too low on calories and loose LBM.
