Hey John,
I noticed that you train 7 days a week without taking a rest day.
Other times I see that you take a recovery day.
I figure you are around 40 yrs old or so.
I have been racing bicycles for 18 years, work in cardiology and have a degree in Exercise Physiology and just wonder how you have avoided burnout.
With my experience and knowledge in this area I was interested in how you do this and stay as motivated as you do.
Your body transformation just over a 6 month period is quite impressive.
As a cyclist, we are very concerned with our weight- and your site is just a big motivation to everyone out there who doesn't think they can achieve good results.
I will be sending you website out to all the people I know who need positive motivation.

That's why they invented 'split' routines...which is what he's doing.

The more you split your bodyparts up the more days you'll be going to the gym.

You can do a lot of bodyparts in a week without necessarily burning yourself out.


A 'split' gives you a bit more time per session to focus on specific muscles.

Going in to do biceps on a specific day isn't going to fry your CNS.

However full-body, seven days a week would unless you were using really light weights which would defeat the purpose basically.

Motivation is where you find it. Some people have a lot, others have it as a big problem area.

It's really hard to transfer motivational work from one person to another - just think about how your sources of motivation play when you are trying to motivate say, someone of the opposite sex, or who is twenty years younger, etc.

Motivation is work that everyone has to do, although many people don't see it that way - they want to get struck by motivation from outside. Well, just like there is only a limited role for assited lifts, there is only a limited role for assisted motivation.
