View Full Version : Almost there - need some pointers

Morning all,

I am nearing the end of my cut and I have hit a road block. I have gone from 182lbs to 163lbs in about two months. I am aiming for 155-157 as my end point. I am 34 and 5 10.

Over the last few weeks I have hit a wall and am not progressing. I have a few ideas that I wanted to get some feedback on.

1) Weights - I should aim for weight training 3x per week (only managing 1-2 at present) and lift heavy. I am doing full body each time and do two sets of 8 for eight exercises

2) Fruit salad - I have a nice bowl of FS each morning. The GI is pretty high and I am thinking I should awap this out for a more protein based meal of omellette with cod/chicken and veges etc.

3) Calorie intake - I think I may be too low. I am 1600-1800 each day so I am going to aim for 2000-2200 and put a bit more effort into cardio as well so I can maintain that deficit.


Afetr all this I want to do a clean bulk and get to 165-170 with a low bodyfat.

Garvic, I am not one to really punt a product unless I truely believe in it. I HIGHLY recomend SwoleCat's SGX protocol. I feel I have had tremendous results since I started the protocol. I have now lost 12 pounds in 40 days, and cut my Body-Fat to (My Estimate) below 10%. This protocol WORKS! I have another 50 days or so untill I finish this phase. I am planning on going for Swole's Swoled-Up protocol. I think our goals are similar becuase I also want to cut to about 6 - 7 % Body-Fat then cleanly add some new (5 -10 pounds) of lean muscle.
