hey guys, i was wondering if you guys had any tasty alternatives to egg beaters or real eggs for that matter. i love the amount of protein that a good ol' egg has to offer but frankly I'm so sick of eating eggs as the cornerstone of my morning meal. any ideas as to how i can mix it up for a while?

Since I do not know what your diet/goals/whatever are...I'll give you examples of what I add to my egg whites:
Add any of the following:
- Turkey bacon
- Cheese
- Red potatoes
- Sometimes I have them in a low carb tortilla
- Sometimes put some in a protein shake
- Onions
- Peppers
You can basically do with them as you please...
If you are more interested in replacing them... have a protein shake. :blank:

I'd like some alternatives as well. My wife won't let me buy eggs like I used to anymore since they've doubled in price. I only eat the whites and pour the yolks down the disposal.

I had the same thing happen after eating egg's (mostly whites) every morning for a few months, it was to the point that I would literally have to choke them down as they would induce a gag reflex. I switched to toast with peanut butter and a protein shake, or a bowl of shredded wheat with protein shake milk poured over it, or even something you might not eat for breakfast (like a chicken breast/steak with some rice/sweet potato etc). After a couple weeks of eating something different I bought some more eggs and found I could eat them again, I just had to mix it up rather then being lazy and just eating scrambled EVERY day.
Now I eat 3 whole eggs for breakfast (something about all the whites wasn't sitting well with me) prepared in different ways. Sometimes I mix vanilla extract in them and make french toast with cinnamon sprinkled on top, or a spinach/bacon omelet, an all out veggie omelet, or just plain scrambled. I found the key was to keep it mixed up a bit.

I havent had a problem with them, I pretty much eat a cheese egg white omlet with ham, onions, spinch, and peppers 5 days a week. Sometimes I switch up and eat some oatmeal and whole scrambled eggs with some cheese and salsa.
Make sure your adding salsa to your eggs...so good.
