I just bought a quart bottle of apple cider vinegar after reading about it on this forum and other places at well. It is the Pathmark name brand, and it says All Natural and 5% Aciditiy. The ingredients read as follows: Water, Apple Juice Concentrate Diluted With Water to 5% Acidity.

I have a few questions regarding apple cider vinegar. My first question is, to your knowledge will this type that I bought offer the benefits that are talked about regarding apple cider vinegar? (I ask this because I've googled this and a lot of sites say "make sure to get the natural brown tinted apple cider vinegar with a brown residue in it as well as an overall brown tint" Mine pretty much looks the color of apple juice...so.. I'm not sure if this is just sites advocating the whole organic or bust approach, and I didn't know if any type different what then I bought is necessary.

Next question is regarding honey (when mixing 2 tbsp with a glass of water). A lot of the sites say drink it with honey, do you guys do this, or is it just an added extra if you can afford the calories?

Thanks for your help

I've never had the "real" stuff. I think you have to go to a health food store, but I've heard it is much better than the regular grocery store version. I've also heard that the grocery store stuff is better. I tend to lean toward the all natural with minimum processing. Heat apparently kills nutrients so the pasteurized grocery store version is probably less nutritious.

It's all about the enzymes... They are probably stipped out in the grocery store version.
