Hey y'all,
I'm after a diet idea, my aims and stats summarised:

~19%bf
Want to be 10% by November, want to bulk up as well. But I'm lacking an actual diet idea mainly. And I will be doing this through Bulk/cut periods.
If anybody has any experience with low carb diets? Or the velocity diet? Or can suggest something for bulking and cutting, thanks :)

I've been seeing a great deal of success with carb cycling. Basically, you only eat carbs shortly before and shortly after a lift, other than that, just slightly below maintenance calories from only proteins, fats, and veggies. 10% BF by November is a very reasonable goal, but you need to have a plan, and be dedicated to seeing it through.

If you want to know other ways to lose fat effectively, read the stickies.

Carb cycling you think then? Just below maintenance ... What about size and strength gains?

That's not carb cycling, that's nutrient timing. Carb cycling involves consuming different levels of carbs on different days, so you'll have low, medium, and high carb days. Here (http://www.t-nation.com/article/diet_and_nutrition/carb_cycling_for_idiots&cr=dietAndNutrition) is one version of it.

Oceanic, people around here aren't often going to just give you a diet. Everybody has different likes, dislikes, caloric needs, macro sensitivities, etc. You should put together a base plan and let us help you tweak it instead of expecting others to do the hard work of the base plan.

Sorry for not being clear enough MannishBoy, I actually meant I want a link to something which will help me form a base plan, not an actual plan itself per say.
As for likes/dislikes, basically I prefer a flat stomach and sex more than food ... Therefore, I'm not too fussy with diets.

Have you read the stickies in the beginner forum? They have lots of basic diet info.

I think most people should first start with a healthy, balanced diet. Once they get in the habit of eating cleanly, then they can progress to more advanced things.

Well I've actually been eating cleanly for over a year now, the only problem is I'm not really in the whole lifestyle at the moment; eratic sleeping patterns and just eating without a clear aim of what I need daily, which is why I just want to plan it, to keep me on track.
I'm just after some diet names/ideas to check out :)

Nutrient timing! That's what it's called :P Thanks, Mannishboy.

You really need "clear aim" if you want to see your fitness goals achieved. Sex is easy, but the flat stomach takes lots of hard work.

Define eating clean. What and how much do you eat daily? If you already eat clean maybe you're just eating too much and need to look into portion control. Do you exercise at all? That could be the problem if you're not.

Clean "was" defined as not being quite there if I had as much as looked at a pack of gum or tick tacks(Not quite as extreme as that these days, but I would love to be again) I was just fat to begin with, still am slightly, and now I'm looking at redoing my diet and such in the hopes of being a lean, mean machine by '09 ;)
