I'm throwing away my scale, blocking mybodycomp.com from my comp, and only judging my progress by the weight I put up and how i look. I've stressed too much over both of those (my bodycomp and scale) for it to even be beneficial at this point. maybe in 4 or 5 months i'll go back to those, but for now I'm getting rid of them.

Good idea, when I starting losing weight several years back, I didn't check the scale for the first few months or so. Besides, alot of times you lose inches and that just doesn't show up on the scale.
Good luck to you.

I have given up on measuring my bodyfat with any regularity and have scaled back (no pun intended) weighing myself to like 2x a week. I am SOOOOO much happier, even though I "knew what I was getting in to" and was one of those people who "wouldn't live and die by the scale." It's just taxing to try and keep up and predict and then actually achieve the numbers that you are looking for. Even though I tried not to get attached, once you see that number on the scale in the morning, it just runs through your head over and over. Going up a little bit was no problem but stalling out or thinking my trends werent really going anywhere took a major toll. When I do go to the scale now, it's so much better and I always see results.

Bodyfat testing is just too much. I have never used mybodycomp but I don't think the measuring method is nearly accurate enough to be going nuts about. Sorry for the rant but I strongly encourage you to stick with this resolution, its great for keeping level headed.

I knew when I started I WOULD live and die by the scale, thats how I am ;) (scale, body fat, anything - just measureable!!!)
I'm actually going to start a new thread about scales in a minute

Do what ever works best for you! I know several people who use the scale regularly and they seem to get depressed when the scale doesn't show the results that they want to see.
