They aren't very difficult and they're good for the wrists. Try doing more curls with lighter weights, too (as many as 15 reps/set). Sometimes the joints just need to catch up to the muscles. That happened with my left elbow doing 5x5s, but 3x12s for a couple months took care of my problem and I still made gains. astroguy January 27th, 2008, 02:26 PM If it's really sore and starts to hurt, see a doctor. I had horrible wrist pain in my left wrist in high school to the point where during marching band warmups I couldn't do pushups - my wrist hurt too much. My mom took me to see a wrist surgeon because we also felt a small lump in there. Turned out I had an "occult dorsal ganglion cyst," basically meaning I had a lump in there that would go away eventually. And it did, after a few months. But ever since then, maybe for a few weeks out of the year, I have had pretty bad pain in one of my wrists, so I just go really easy on it. Something to consider, at least. Novabound08 January 28th, 2008, 01:58 PM You may be using too much weight. Also try wrapping it till you get it stronger? Don't wrap your wrists regularly. The added support the tape provides is believed to actually weaken your wrists long term. If you do tape, perform some wrist curls at the end of your workout. Yeah will I have took your advise on the knuckle pushups and my wrists are actually getting sorer becuase of it, is this a normality with knuckle pushups? |
