Ok this may be a dumb question but I need to know cause im such a perfectionist. Now for instance I eat a GrapeFruit every morning for breakfast and they are average size and I looked up the nutrional value for them and was fine. Now my father brought home a box from Texas, and these things are HUGE. They weigh approx 500G each (with the skin on)

So my question is if it it sais " Per 100G serving" is 11 carbs, would I multiply that by 5 (so 55 carbs) or am i subtracting the skin off it, because im pealing it right? Really dumb question I know but any input would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a scale? If so, weigh the bowl+grapefruit before and after eating. That way you have a very good estimate of what you actually consumed.

A serving usually refers only to the edible portion.

I agree, get a scale, this way you know exactly how much you are eating.

Yea sorry for any confusion I do have a food scale, thats how I know they are 500G each. But I was measuring the entire grapefruit with skin and all (which i dont eat) but i guess just the edible counts for the 100G serving, thank you for clearin that up.
