View Full Version : List Of Food & Drinks
AzimScot January 23rd, 2008, 07:46 PM Hi,
I am wondering if there is a website, which tells you a comprehensive list of calories for the major brand of foods and drinks on the market as I think this will help me contruct a 40/40/20 diet plan.

And DietFacts.com (http://www.dietfacts.com/) with lots of brand-names, restaurants, and its nifty "Add to FitDay" feature.

. I never noticed that "Add to FitDay" button before. Pretty cool.

 I dig it.
I don't think it was there last year but I noticed it sometime this past summer.

Acedog June 26th, 2008, 04:44 PM I just wanted to bump this up, because I've found http://www.dietfacts.com/ to be very handy (especially since I use FitDay, and it will fill it out for me). It's useful to pick something out beforehand so that I'm not struggling with the menu trying to find that hidden "healthy" item.

Yeah, the pc version of fitday looks pretty good. I prefer something web based since I use linux, primarily, and really only use windows under vmware for some work stuff. I'm considering writing my own app, but we'll have to see how important the extra features I'd like see are to me. :D

There's always the option to run it using Wine, but I've found that it has some usability problems which can be pretty inconvenient.

I looked into doing that, but if the developer changes something that breaks it under wine, then I have no recourse.
Anyways, we're getting off-topic. :nono:
Edit: I just tried FitDay with wine, and it actually runs ok (with wine 1.0). There is really only one quirk that I've noticed so far, and that's the mouse occasionally losing focus. All I need to do is right click, and it seems to keep working again. It's a pretty nice program for only $20.
