i just figured out that my mother puts a half tablespoon of salt in the soup containing vegetables & Chicken .... i dunno if there's something wrong with this half TBSPN ...
she also puts vegetables in the soup containing Chicken (skinless) ... i'm afraid this might lead to fats to be added to vegetables or so ...
anyways i take some vegetables in a plate and drain the soup is that okay ?
and she told me she can't cook it without Salt!!!!
these small things are bothering me!
thanks anyways ...

Well, that all depends on how much soup she makes!
Half a tablespoon is around 7.5g, so about 3g of sodium.
This is more than your recommended days allowance so if that's for one portion of soup then it's a lot.
If that's for a pot which makes 10 servings of soup not quite so much.
You could maybe try asking her to cut the amount of salt down slightly though.
As for fat, if it's just stock and skinless chicken I wouldn't imagine there is a lot of fat assuming the stock was skimmed of fat first.
If she adds cream to it then that would increase the fat content of the soup, but if you just take veggies out and eat them I couldn't imagine much fat would be in them anyhow.

thanks for the quick reply ... yes she adds this 1/2 Tbspn of salt in a Big Pot and i have many servings out of it (up to 5 servings) ... so i guess 1/2tbspn in a large pot containing veggies / chicken (skinless) is okay as long as it's not for one serving ?
thanks again

You need to stop worrying and be thankful you have a mother that is preparing home cooked meals for you. Any anxiety you create as a result of questioning everything your family prepares for you is likely to be far more unhealthy than whatever minor ingridient qualms you have.
In this particular case, I see no reason for concern. We're talking about vegetable and chicken soup for crying out loud. Calm down and enjoy the soup. :)
