We're thinking late spring, early summer, Croatia would be perfect of course:D, but Austria has been brought up as a possible destination as well:)
who's in?:)

In principle, I'm in. Obviously, I would prefer Germany or Austria rather than Croatia (:D) but Croatia isn't totally out of the question (it's not that far for me). I would have to see if I can afford a trip like that and, more importantly, if I have time for one. I have a lot on my plate right now and the spring/summer is going to be especially stressful (thesis, job hunting, apartment hunting).

Salzburg, Vienna, or Munich would be ideal for me :).

I'm in too but would only be able to join if it was done in late spring - May being the best month for me. The suggestion I made in Christy's journal is the weekend of 10-11 May since that Monday will be Whit Monday and I think that's a holiday in all European countries (except for the UK I just noticed).

Money is indeed an issue so I would prefer places which are accessible with low-cost airlines (or by train). Around May I'll most probably be in CH, so Croatia, Austria, Southern Germany and the usual low-cost airline destinations are fine with me.

Just thinking - it would be nice if we could meet up in a place/country where one of us lives...easier to organise a place to stay and what to see. I'm not going to promote CH because it's pretty expensive even if I have very good connections to a hostel...

How about Nice? :) I am interested but depends on when (as teacher can't take time off randomly) and flight costs too :)

Hmmmm.......... interesting :D

How about Spain? The flights are pretty cheap, so are the hotels (compare to other countries in Europe).... and the weather... :D

How about March? ;)
Merk and I will be near Barcelona between 18-29 of March

Money is also an issue, as is holiday time. I'd like to come, but doubt I will be able too. :(

money is everyone's issue, as is time, that's why we're all trying to persuade others to come to our own country:D at this rate, we'll never come to an agreement:confused:

Let's see. We got FR, ES, AU, NL, UK and HR

If I had to pick a destination I think It'd be ES! Mostly cuz It's the only place I've never visited
Also, there's loads of cheap flights to spain.

Do I have money for a vacation? :nono:

Spain is actually a pretty good idea. I have a friend who's studying there this semester and have promised to go see her, so I could combine the two.

I think the best thing would be to make a poll with suggested dates and places and the ones with most votes win.

so far we have several possible locations but only one concrete date (Maya would need to be a bit more specific...). any more suggestions for dates?

i've been to Spain, but even if i hadn't, considering the tight budget it's just too far.
poll would be good if we could only vote for the places others suggested, in other words, you can candidate a city but you cannot vote for it:D
oh i don't know
