I'm tired of having lose skin all over my body from losing 100+ pounds in the past year or so.. No sagging or anything, but my skin is not tight and there is a little saggyness on my belly, it is very embarressing, so... I'm gonna put on some lean mass to fill in that lose skin, then cut back after I put on like 10 lbs of lean mass in the next couple months I guess.

5"10 167 lbs.

Shooting to hit about 180 or so, then cutting back to about 10% bf as planned, I am about 16% or 17% now, no big deal, I could be less actually, the lose skin makes it hard to check my BF.

Sound good? I'm thinking of bringing my calories from 2100 (thats about 600 calorie deficit) and bringing it up to 3000 (It will be about 300 or so calories above maint.) and not doing as much cardio.

Whoa! :claplow: That's awesome! Your bulking plan sounds good to me. Wilmington's a beautiful place (I'm from Durham) and I bet you'll enjoy being on the beach this summer without that 100 pounds. After cutting that much, I bet the bulking will be a nice change of pace too, and it's nice to see your muscles grow more rapidly than they do while cutting. Congratulations again! :tu:

I'm in basically the same boat as you. I've been following the site and the forums since the end of January, and have quietly been dropping the pounds. Over the last year, I've come down from my all-time high of 240 lbs. to my current 178. I'm 6'2, so that's plenty low as far as weight goes, but I've been frustrated. My stomach still feels really flabby and a bit on my upper thighs as well. But everyone's been freaking out telling me to stop losing weight and that it's probably mostly loose skin and what not. So, finally, yesterday I decided to heed their advice. I switched over to the bulking phase of things. Trying to get a 20/45/35 or so calorie setup with around 3000 calories. And I've made my workouts a lot more intense and will probalby drop back a bit on cardio.

My biggest concern is that I don't want to be bulking through the whole summer and not getting any cutting in. Yeah, getting into great shape at ANY time is a good thing, but it'll suck to "finish" the job in the fall when I can't really show it off so well anymore. I'm thinking if I can put on a good 10 pounds (and hopefully tighten up my stomach a bit) within two months, maybe I can start cutting a little early. I'll have to see how it goes though.

BTW, congrats on your own progress!
