I haven't been perusing the boards much lately, and on the eve of my induction I wanted to drop a quick message to explain why it's unlikely I will be posting in the near future (although I might have internet some weekends when I'm at home).

I have volunteered for 1 year and 9 months in the Israeli military, and my service begins tomorrow! The first three months are a course for new immigrants, and after that it is likely I will be either in the West Bank or Gaza as an infantry soldier.

When I was in college I created alot of threads dealing with how to squeeze the most out of life and really do something interesting and challenging. I really love my life now, and I'm ready to challenge myself in new and interesting ways in the army! I wish this same feeling to all of you on JSF, and I thank you for your wisdom, humor, and friendships!

Use of the word crossed over to various places where Jews settled, but especially Amsterdam where it is commonly used by everyone.
