For the next month, I'm only going to have two days a week available to weight train.
I have used exrx.net to devise a 4 day split, which I haven't started yet.
Can I take the 4 day split over 2 weeks, or would it be better to go back to exrx.net and draw up an upper/lower body workout?

I think it would be better to draw up an Upper/Lower program like you said. You want to try and work each body part once per week. You may not be able to do as many sets per body part but just keep up the intensity and you will still get results.

You could always do 2 full-body workouts per week and devise 4 different routines. I know of several people with a schedule as strict as yours who do this very thing.
I'll try to dig up some workouts for you just to give you something else to look at.

I was thinking that I could possibly use my previous 3 day split - just do upper/legs one day and the other upper another day.
But I would be very interested to see what you dig up, Glamdring.
