Has anyone seen a place in North America selling Limfjord Mussels in a square glass jar?

You can typically find them in stores throughout Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Eastern Europe & Russia.

So they could be in native run markets in larger cities here in the States.

(A Danish, Swedish or Russian Market could have them.)

If anyone knows what I am talking about......PLEASE contact me.

Here is a small photo of them attached.

I am looking or the orange kind (Bottom right).

Thanks for looking * :tu:

Im curious, what's the orange one? Also, what is the brand? That will help alot in trying to locate them as limfjord is the type of mussel...

Thanks for your reply.

The company is LiCo out of Denmark (Limfjord Company).

The orange ones are Limfjord Mussels with Seafood Sauce.

If you run across them a shout out is much appreciated *

Thanks again for your reply. :tucool:

No probs! Not sure if you tried yet, but you should contact the sales department of the Lico companys:

ks@lkdk.com

They could probably tell you right away if there are any north american distributer.

Good luck!

Yes I wrote them. They distribute under a brand name 'Roland', they don't carry that one (Seafood sauce).

I am hoping that a small market imports small quantities.

Our russian market in Las Vegas, brings alot of stuff in when the owner travels back & forth.

Trying to run across the same situation in another ethnic market somewhere else.

Thanks for the idea though. I appreciate it.

Have you tried asking him if he can get that specific thing while on his travels? Most stores will make attempts to get their customers what they want, if you think about it if he simply stopped and grabbed a couple dozen and brought them back specially for you, he would probably have just earned a customer for life... well worth it to both him and you ;).
