Hi everybody,
I am a newbie on this forum. I have been working out for a few years. However i have noticed that my chest muscles are oversized. They always responded much better than the rest of the body and now are much larger than a proportionate body. Is there a way of getting it back in shape. I tried working out lesser for the chest, but it was of no use. That way i start losing strength so I am not sure of what I am supposed to do. Do let me know if anyone has some suggestions to counter this problem.

Thanks,
Gollum.

Oversized in what way? Generally speaking largish chest muscles are a prized feature to most people (personally i dont care for them to be supersized but thats what body builders like) You could just work on your other muscles though and only do maintainance work for the pecs i guess your refering to. Other than that ive heard no way of atrophying one muscle set while leaving the others in tact.

Gollum, it's tough to form a strategy without seeing the actual muscle to determine where the routine should target. Could you perhaps post a picture of these oversized chest muscles? That would help us target what exercises will work best to de-emphasize them.

Can you tell us how big your chest is ie 40" 50" etc as well as your arms, waist, abs etc.

Like everyone else said its not the worst thing that could happen!
