Hey everyone this is one of my first posts and i would like to share with you what i have achieved thus far, check out the picture and please share your thoughts.

I have tried where possible to stick to a diet but for the most of things i am just watching what i eat, i was going the gym 3 days a week working on cardio but now i have added weights into the mix. its taken around 8 months to get where i am today but there was a large break from the gym in between.

I started out at:
18 stone 4 (256.7 pounds) :eat:

My current weight is:
15 stone (210 pounds) :jumping:

I would like to get down to around 13 stone (182 pounds).
Please share you thoughts.

Thanks

Jamie :tucool:

Theolatic,
Great improvement. You can see it in your face, stomach. Keep on the road you are on, and you will get to 182 before you know it.

:claplow: Hey, good job!

Your back looks a little bit hunched over, but it's an improvement from where it was before. With a little work tightening your abs and strengthening your back and shoulders, you will see a world of difference in your posture. :tu:

Your progress might slow down a little at this point, but keep at it, and you will be richly rewarded. :)

How often do you lift, and are you doing compound exercises? (Squats, deadlifts, etc.)

Are you estimating your calories? Any problems with hunger?

hey guys thanks for the positive comments.

At the minute i am not so much counting calories but just watching what i eat.

I recently ordered the chris powel stax system, for people who have not heard of it its basically portion containers with a cooler bag and a timer so you can set it to go off every say 2 hours to alert you to eat, i know it may sound bad but i forget to eat. As soon as my stax system gets here i will be starting my diet properly, i will be eating around 1680 - 2100 cals.

I will also plan a workout for the gym to lost weight, if anyone could help me with that it would be much appreciated . I go the gym around 3 days a week.

Thanks alot

Jamie :neener:

I'd up your calories some, especially if you're just starting to introduce strength training into your program. You have an opportunity to pickup some easy newbie gains in the way of muscle if your nutrition is on point. If there's nothing there to feed the muscles though, you'll blow this chance.

You don't need to go on an all out giant surplus of calories, you just want to stay away from a real deep deficit. Your build type is the kind that can easily turn into a "skinny fat" physique if you're not careful. Not trying to put you down at all, it's just a risk because of your starting point.

Don't worry if the drop in scale weight slows down a little as a result of eating more. You want it to be about fat loss over weight loss anyway, and a simple scale measurement can't really capture this (even with a BIA device, it's very suspect). If you can get your waist measurement to come down, while your strength keeps going up, that's really what you're after.
