My lovely, wonderful fiance just bought me an early birthday present. An 8 gig Ipod Itouch! Anyone else have one of these sweet little machines?

My wife got me one last month and it's the best. I found this site that has a free utility for converting You Tube videos into an MP4 format. It copies it right into iTunes so the next time you connect your iTouch it syncs it up

I have the ipod touch.

I've had a few issues with it that I've sent feedback to apple for, and hopefully they'll keep them in mind when they come up with bug fixes and perhaps some add-ons.

I'm not disappointed with it really, I just think it ended up not being the right device for me. Mostly I use it to listen to music, so the nice big screen is too often wasted on me. I find the controls more annoying than regular buttons, because I have to actually get the player and unlock it and look at it in order to adjust anything, like skipping a song or changing the volume. It still doesn't quite do exactly what I want most of the time, mistaking a tap on "artist" to be a tap on "playlist" for example, or not responding to dragging the volume bar. I'm disappointed that I can't add single photos; photos have to be added by complete folder only, and cannot be deleted from the device while not connected to iTunes.

I haven't had the chance to try out the Safari browser, because if I'm at home, I use the computer, and if I'm on the move, I can't be playing around with it. (If I happen to be sitting waiting somewhere with WiFi, it's also usually someplace with a computer.) Watching videos takes A LOT of battery power, so I don't do it as much as I'd like to.

The "On the Go" playlist is probably my favorite feature on it, and I have no idea how many other devices may also offer something similar, for much better value. :p

Thanks for the link! I think out of the box, its a nice device but not perfect. I did a bit of tweaking with mine and have it doing some pretty fantastic things! So as a result, the large screen isn't wasted on me. For example, I have it set for google maps, so if I am in the car and within a stray wireless range, I can pull up a map if I am lost. I guess it all depends on what you want to do with it. I love to tinker, so its been fun! I see what you mean about the controls. They can be finiky at times. However, on a whole I find it very intuitive and I can scan through what I need really quickly. I think sometimes its just about keeping the screen clean. I just ordered a plastic skin that you seal the ipod in which protects it from scratches and dirt, so that should help.
