Hey everybody
I'm looking to lose the small amounts of flab around my body and bulk up some, some abs would be nice too.
i've been working out on-and-off for a few months now but i don't really know what I'm doing.
I guess I would like to aim for 42-inch chest with clearly defined abs and maybe 210 body weight. i don't want to be huge or anything, just a little stronger than I am now.
So my questions are:
Am I at a good build to start out from? Is my goal realistic? What would be a good workout plan to reach it? How should I change my diet?
Here's where I am now:
Age 18
Height 6'2.5"
Weight 180 lbs
Body fat 11% (estimate)
Chest 39 in.
Waist 32 in.
Bicep 12 in. cold 12.9 in. flexed
Hip 39.5 in.

Welcome to the forums.

So your goals are to become bigger and stronger, and take on an athletic physique as a result of strength training. Of course that's realistic. Don't question this for a second.

I would not recommend getting overly obsessed with fat loss, body fat percentages, or trying to get visible abs at this stage of the game. Doing so is only likely to take you off course and delay your eventual goal. Sounds like you have a good frame to start adding some quality muscle mass to, so focus on a mindset of becoming bigger, stronger, and faster. The initial stages of the physique changes you're looking for will naturally follow.

What kind of equipment do you have access to? Are you a member at a public gym?

Can't comment on the diet because we'd need to have an idea of how you're eating today. What you're looking for is an intelligent surplus so your body has enough fuel to promote growth as a result of your training. Take a read through the sticky threads to take away the general ideas they're intended to provide.
