Hello. I'm 23 years old female who moved to the States about 7 months ago. And I've gained 44 pounds for the past 7 months. I'm in such a big depression, and stressed out.

I used to do cardio and some weight-training before, so I'm familiar with terms and all that. But I'm trying to make a realistic plan.

I work from 7AM to 3:30PM. So My plans is like this..
Wake up at 5AM and do cardio for 40mins.
Get off from work and do weight-training for 40mins.

That's at least 5 days out of week. I will try to cut the portions I eat. More proten, less sugar and complex carbs. No food intake from 6PM as I plan to go to bed around 10PM.

Any more advice? And what kind of inspiration or motivation do affect you not to eat so much and control yourself? Once I thought it would be easy to lose weight when I had less than 20% of bodyfat. Now..

I have no idea where to even start... Please help me!!!!

Weights five days a week....are you on a"split routine" of some kind?

Sounds a bit much if you're lifting heavy fullbody.

Why so stressed and depressed?

Welcome..:)...lots of good info around here...

Sounds like the food here has you eating a lot more Calories. Plus, you are probably trying to figure out how to live here, fit in with whatever brought you here (school, work, etc.).

If I were you I would think about a food diary, a workout log, and a general activity and feeling diary. Life might be going by so fast with all the new stuff you have to cope with that you don't realize how you are actually living it. Little things add up fast when you can't pay attention.
