When trying to cut (loose fat), is it better to do a 3 or 4 day split or do some kind of interval training 3 or 4 days a week. I have been doing a 4 day split along with 30 min. cardio 6 days a week for the last month. I have had some success (lost about 5 lbs), but I see some guys in the gym doing interval training and I was wondering which routine is better suited for loosing fat.

If what you're doing is working for you, then keep doing it. When it stops working, change it. That's the general rule of thumb for me.

Do whatever is easier for you to do if you like giong to the gym 4 to 5 times a week then heck go for it. There's no real wrong way but I would try things out and see how you like it. LIke on workout days I did 12min HIIT and on off days I did 30-45min LISS cardio for 2-3 months then switched it to 16-22min HIIT sessions just on off days. I had better results with HIIT but I absolutely HATE it so sometimes I'll do burpees with pushups and body squats as my cardio session.

Thanks for the advice...I have started to mix in some HIIT, but I agree...it isn't very fun.

I'm the opposite. I hate long steady state work, but HIIT is fast and challenging.
