OK, I bought a trainer to ride my bike indoors in the winter-- a TACX trainer, and a pretty expensive one at that. The trouble is, it vibrates in a weird way. I don't notice while I'm on it, but when I get off, my, er, crotch, is, um, buzzing. Not entirely unpleasant, but a little uncomfortable for about 20 minutes afterwards. Anybody else had this problem? Is it a matter of better supporting/stabilising the trainer (it's on a wooden top floor at the moment)? It seems pretty stable, it just seems to make the seat vibrate in a way that doesn't happen on the streets.

what kid of tires (tyres) do you have on the bike?

They're the tires that came on the bike. It's a hybrid Gary Fisher. The tires are therefore somewhere between a race tire and a mountain bike tire. Maybe this is too thick?

It could be the tread... even on hybrid tires, there's enough that you might notice it. Take a look at a set of these (http://cgi.ebay.com/2-MOUNTAIN-BIKE-CITY-SLICK-TIRES-BICYCLE-26-x-1-25-1-95_W0QQitemZ170169481456QQihZ007QQcategoryZ27954QQ cmdZViewItem)... in fact, you would really only need the back since that's all that's attached to the trainer.
