Well its starting. And just like a lot of you I thought that I would put this out there for others to see. Kind of a way to help me feel more accountable or something for sticking to getting healthy.

I dont have a lot of hard numbers since I am writing this from my desk at work.

I found John Stone's website probably about 2 weeks ago. The site had an amazing motivating affect on me.

Back in high school I was in pretty decent shape. Eat well and worked out about 4-5 times per week. Then college came and I began to workout less. After that working fulltime in IT and working out was gone.

Now that I have been out of high school for 10 years I look at myself and compare the 2 bodies and I hate what I have let happen. So now I am going to do something about it.

I thought this about 4 months ago and tried the Atkins Diet. It worked for about 1 week, lost 7-9 lbs my first week and then nothing the next 3 weeks. So I stopped that "diet" since it wasnt working anymore and I was sticking under 10 carbs most days.

Now I am looking at this in a whole new light. I am changing my everything. I got a new job Jan 5th. Began eating Kashi "Good Friends" cereal for breakfast about a week ago. I have been eating more frequently meals of smaller portions for the past week and a half.

I have to get going but I will probably come back and write more.

OK a bit more.

Since I just started a new job and my commute now sucks. I will be working out in the morning near my work. I just joined a local club for the first time, last week. And today was my first day at the gym.

The funny thing about working out is it wakes you up. You dont really think of that when you dont work out. But even though this is day one, I feel like I have much more enegry... maybe its just that beginners feeling. But so far I like it. Its just gonna take a bit of willpower to wake up at 5:15-5:30am to workout and get to work by 8.
