Hey guys its been a while, I was going to start a short fast, and i want to keep it going until about thanksgiving.Well i always break it because i miss the gym. so i was wondering, how stressful on the body do you think will it be just to do a slight push up and sit-up routine everyday, you no just to keep the blood flowin

If you get the muscles working without fuel, your body is going to freak out and start eating your muscle, saving the fat for "emergency only" situations. Not a good idea. If you don't mind me asking, why the fast?

Ive just got some really important decisions to make in the near future so i want full attention on what i really need and not what i want.(and one of the best ways to do that is to fast ;)) its not going to be a complete water fast i will be consuming a lot of vegetable and fruit juice.

Oh, well if you've got fruits and veggies in your stomach, then I'm sure a few little "get your blood flowin" type exercises wont hurt a bit.

Dont be worried about fasting and training ...i completed a whole month of fasting between 5am in the morning till 7pm at night ..no food no water ...yet i still continued training ..my lifts have continued progressing..and since i was Bulking i also managed to put on 4lbs over the month...if your fast allows you to drink water then it should be fine.
Human body is a amazing machine and will adapt....

Actually it goes back to the "use it or lose it" principle. You should use your muscles as much as possible while fasting so that your body is more likely to hold onto what it has, since it has a purpose.

i had a high body fat % before i started bulking over 19% ..over the one month period i was consuming over 3500 kcals a day ..i had to split this over a 8 hour period as i was fasting most of the day..which basically meant two big meals ..and some protein shakes through the night...the gain was 3.2lb lbm 0.7lblb fat over he four weeks...but i am relatively new to weight training (around four months in now). it was the period commencing 1/9/07 if you look in my sig.
