A few months back I was in the gym doing some barbelss curls when I developed a really bad pain on the right side of my right wrist. I put it down to a sprain or something and basically stayed off it for a few weeks.

Since then, I have foolishley carried on through the pain and its got the stage now where a friend of mine passed me a laptop the other day and I went to take it with my right hand and nearly dropped it as the pain in my wrist was so bad.

Yesterday, I visited the doctors and he told me that I have more than likely got a stressed wrist tendon and I should take ibuprofen three times a day because that will decrease the swelling (my wrist isn't swollen - I presume he is referring to the swelling of th actual tendon, which isn't visible).

However, if there is no positive results with in ten days, I may have to revert to physio.

My problem is that the injury only hurts if I twist my wrist. For example, bench presses, squats, deadlifts, lat pulldowns etc have no effect on the injury. However, anything bicep related i.e. any kind of curl, aren't doable as they involve a slight twist of the wrist.

Therefore, the purpose of this post is to ask if anyone has any suggestions as to any bicep exercises I could do that don't require a wrist twist?

Any help appreciated and aplogies for the long winded post..........

You can try DB hammer cursl, but you are better off not training biceps directly at all until you have the wrist problem resolved. I've had elbow tendinitis on and off for years. There are times when I cannot train biceps for months at a time. Just recently, I came off 6 months of no direct bicep work. However, with all the heavy back work, I've sacrificed nothing in regards to size or muscle quality. If you can do BB rows, chins, reverse grip pulldowns, deads, and squats you'll be fine. Once you are well enough again to train bi's you'll get a new growth spurt with them.

The only time I get really stressed out is if I cannot do squats due to whatever reason or other. If I can't train legs, I'm screwed. :blank:
