before the inevitable herd comes in to give themselves a roundabout pat on the back, think back to every word you've said in the last few months in private conversation. Every one.
I think we'd all look like shit.

Seriously. "OMG! He r teh say bad werds! nerfnerfnerf!!111" Sometimes I really wonder if we are ever going to make progress as a society (and as a race in general) if we are constantly stuck on bickering and flying off the handle about the smallest, most inane things (setting aside the absurdity of the whole "n-word" bs). He said a bunch of racial things. Ok, so maybe he needs a cleaner mouth or something. This:
"In response to this story, A&E network has released a statement saying: "A&E has just learned of the story released by the National Enquirer concerning Duane Dog Chapman. We take this matter very seriously. Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded we will take appropriate action.""
makes it sound like we are ready to cut his nuts off and execute him, as if he said he was going to slit her throat or something.
And who was taping his conversations anyways? Sometimes being famous sucks - you don't even have a private life.

1st off, I'd want to make sure that's actually him on the tape. If so, I'd say this. Dog is a rough dude with a rough lifestyle and a rough past. It's not really surprising that he would respond to a situation like this in a non-rational manner. I think it would be obvious that if someone's trying to nail you for being racist then you'd want to go ahead and not use racist language. If someone's trying to nail you for embezzelment, don't have a bunch of undocumented cash stashed in your freezer. However, we often see examples of people handling situations stupidly. If Dog doesn't have any history of mistreating people based on race, then it would be unfortunate if this private conversation discredited everything he's done. Obviously this behavior is not appropriate, but other public figures have gotten a pass for far worse.

Why have Americans forgotten the "sticks & stones" rule?
Everyone just wants to make money or to sue (or in this case probably both)....I'm glad I got out...

I thought the Imus thing was blown out of proportion. But this is disgusting rhetoric. And the response from you guys so far is disconcerting. but at least true colors are being shown.
