What's the old saying?

"Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me".

Well, shame on me.

As someone who has been overweight, then worked hard to get in the best shape of his life....and then got lazy again...this is pretty humbling.

I'm hoping this thread (and this site, Thanks John!) will give me the sense of accountability & community to succeed once again.

Here's me in a nutshell:
-32 years old
-Married, father of 2 children
-Previously followed healthy lifestyle and dropped from 250 to 195lbs (the right way--clean eating & exercise)....only to gain it all back by having a relapse of laziness
-Sick of using the phrase "back when I was in shape"

This is a classic case of theory vs. action....I KNOW what to do...but now it's time to actually DO it.

Thanks in advance to everyone who will have a part in this journey...and hopefully I'll be able to return the favors along the way.

Game on!

I'm sure there are other posts out there regarding this question...and I will be researching the issue on my own....but if anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.

I'm trying to decide what type of resistance workout plan to follow. My plan is to alternate resistance training & cardio training every other day--but for the resistance part should I go with the full body workout each time or break it down to focus on specific body parts (ie--Monday=chest & bicep, Wednesday=Back & Tris, Friday=Hams, Quads, Calves)?

My previous experience was with the full body workout each session...but I noticed that John's routine when he started out would focus on breaking it up.

Thanks for any advice.
