I have some real doubts about their methodologies. They found that squats at 80% 1RM were less effective than hip extensions? Something tells me that they weren't squatting very deep. If you go below parallel, the glutes are going to get some serious work. Even going to parallel will get the glutes a good workout. I can't believe that unweighted extensions can compete with a well-executed, well-weighted squat.
