I’m getting ready to cut and I’m looking to lose some calories. Apparently, I’m cutting it pretty close already because all I had to do to gain 15 pounds in 12 weeks is add a 300 calorie protein bar, a 170 calorie creatine drink, 8 ounces of vegetables and lift heavy 4 days a week(I switched to free weights as I’d been using machines exclusively for 9 months).
What I am thinking about doing to cut about 50 calories is ditching the creatine drink and adding 5mg of creatine monohydrate to my post work-out protein drink, which I would swap chocolate and water for vanilla and orange juice. The creatine needs the glucose spike from the OJ for absorption, but will the whey get in the way (ugh!)?

Creatine needs a glucose spike for absorption? Hmmm, don't know about that but if you're looking for an insulin spike there are better choices than orange juice with creatine. A whey hydrolysate gives me all the "spike" I need. Because of creatine's low molecular weight, dextrose or maltodextrine would spike insulin. However, if I wanted increased absorption of CM I'd use waxy maize and possibly 8-12 gr of bcaa's as well.
