What's the best weight to gain in a week? Or in a month? Keeping the fat gains minimal... I'm just asking because I want to know if I'm on the right path. I've been bulking for a month now and I've gained maybe 1kg (i think less). Is this a good speed for a bulk? I'm eating around 2700-3000 calories a day and my current weight is around 70 kg (height 182 cm) and I'm 17 years old. I'm currently hitting the gym hard 4 times a week and doing cardio 2-3 times a week.

I'd say if you're that weight and gaining at that rate, you could afford to push to 3000-3200 calories a day and adjust from there if need be. At the moment you're putting on 2.2lbs a month - I think you could be putting on 1lb a week, i.e. 4lb a month with minimal fat gain, providing your diet is in check.

Either that or reduce your cardio, I say.

i wouldn't push for more than 1.5lb a week... 1lb a week is probably ideal.

i have been eating 3500-3700 daily (40carb/35pr/25 fat) clean food
for over a month a have been adding 1lb week. thats with no cardio and 3 x lifting..due to your extra activity .i would up the cals by 400-500 and see what happens.

I'd say 4 pounds a month, max. You won't be putting on more than 3 pounds of lean mass every month, which means that with a 4lb/month gain, you're putting on 1 lb of fat. If that's an acceptable gain, 4 lbs a month is probably a good goal. If it's not, you might want to aim a bit lower to minimize the fat.
