I eat them raw. Surprisingly tasty. Can't go wrong with fruit, either. Cramp11 October 7th, 2007, 11:37 AM I can't stand cooked oatmeal so I eat it raw with a glass of water quite often. Option 2... grind oatmeal into power and mix it with a protein shake. It just makes it thicker and obviously makes it taste like oatmeal. I'm used to it now and love it. nmead October 7th, 2007, 01:27 PM Complex Carbs: Oatmeal with frozen blueberries and a scoop of Strawberry protein powder. Long Grain Brown rice - get a rice cooker (~$20) and have enough rice for the week. Sweet potatoes - I like the white ones (real sweet potatoes), not 'yams'. Simple Carbs: Gatorade Waxy Maize Starch Fruits Nate TonySoprano October 7th, 2007, 01:34 PM ok so my schedule is kind of strict and i can eat like max 4 times a day...should i put in some brown rice at lunch or dinner with a grilled chicken...and how do i seperate sweet potatoe from potatoe...sorry just never cooked em sweet in my house...just potatoes lol...and gatorade is ok when your cutting? like a bottle every two days or something? what fruits specifically? apples or carrots or bananas? thanks the problem is that we have dining halls at UGA and we're not allowed to take food home ...so theres three times a day i can make it to the dining hall...i mean i can sneak stuff out like fruit and Gatorade and stuff but not big things....anyways what about powerade....is that same as Gatorade? or shud i go and buy some gatorade? our dining halls only have powerade...freaking fascists nmead October 7th, 2007, 01:44 PM ok so my schedule is kind of strict and i can eat like max 4 times a day...should i put in some brown rice at lunch or dinner with a grilled chicken...and how do i seperate sweet potatoe from potatoe...sorry just never cooked em sweet in my house...just potatoes lol...and gatorade is ok when your cutting? like a bottle every two days or something? what fruits specifically? apples or carrots or bananas? thanks the problem is that we have dining halls at UGA and we're not allowed to take food home ...so theres three times a day i can make it to the dining hall...i mean i can sneak stuff out like fruit and Gatorade and stuff but not big things....anyways what about powerade....is that same as Gatorade? or shud i go and buy some gatorade? our dining halls only have powerade...freaking fascists Brown rice is a staple of mine. The cooker is like an electric hotplate, although if you are in a dorm, people will know you are cooking. Sweet potatoes are in the grocery store, they look like the orange yams, I find they taste better though. I just bake several of them at once and separate into tupperware. I use simple carbs only during workouts, I buy the powdered gatorade in water with Waxy Maize and a scoop of protein, its cheaper and easier. I wouldn't just 'drink' gatorade when I was thirsty, its all sugar, thats what water is for. An apple or banana pre-workout will help give you a boost. As far as 'cutting' goes, it will all depend on how it fits into your macros. Nate |
