I'm 5'11''.....220 lbs(woot!)....and for the life of my I can't figure out what my daily calorie requirement would be.

I try to eat somewhere around 2300-3000 calories per day.

According to fitday I burn 3100 per day....if I add in sleep....and the lowest amount of activity possible. I burn at least 200-300 per day with exercise.

The reason I'm confused is that the past month I have lost nothing...zero weight....stuck at 225.....now suddenly within the past week I've dropped down to 220 and have stayed there.

I know it could be water....but I seriously changed nothing. Not my diet...nothing.

Am I eating enough....should I eat more?

Is the 700 calorie variance part of a controlled cycle?

The margin of error from trying to track calories burned vs. calories consumed using fitday's default values for energy expenditure is going to be too great to get any real meaningful data. Just go with the results you're seeing from your diet and exercise in 2-3 week segments where the variables remain fairly consistent.

I'd see what results the next 10-14 days bring in the way of body weight and tape measurements. Make adjustments from there.

I've figured as much too.

Yesterday was a simply horrible day...I didn't eat too many calories...but I ate only junk food.

I'll see at the end of October where I'm at.

I also started the 9 week to 3 miles running plan. Finished the first week.

I try to keep it controlled as much as possible...but its simply impossible for me to keep proper track of what I'm eating because I travel so much.

Some days I can keep track with Fitday...somedays I simply can't.

Most sites I've used to figure out my calorie requirements have put me somewhere around 2700-3000.

So if I eat 2000-2500 per day I should lose weight. I'll try that till the end of October and see where I'm at.
