I just got sick about 2 days ago first i had a soar throat now i am sneezing, runny nose, headache, and lost a lot of energy i feel like im just mopping around all day. So a question i have is am i suppost to lift when im sick or should i just take the week off from everything even cardio. I dont think theres anyway i would even be able to lift or do cardio this week so im just wondering if thats the right thing to do and take the week off. Any advice guys for when im sick so i dont lose to much muscle and strengh?

From my experience, I do not train when I am sick. I NEVER get a good workout in and it almost seems to take longer to feel better. So, take the time to let your body recover 100%, keep on your diet and when you are all better, hit the weights. I have found the 1st workout after being sick to be a great one.

Sleep and eat chicken soup and tons of vitamin C till you are well, and no TV. SLEEP!

Honestly, I doubt you would lose much by not going for a few days while you cover. Several workout programs such as HST and Max-OT specifically call for a week or 2 off to allow your body to decondition. You should be alright.

I've almost lost 3 lbs in the last few days and that's making me nervous

Does anybody know what your body tends to eat while your sick/recovering?
