View Full Version : Simple. Just keep going to the gym.
Masher Wed, September 26th, 2007, 05:33 PM My 100 challenge for this month is a simple one. I haven't been going to the gym for MONTHS. For October, I want to go to the gym 3 times per week, equalling 13 times in total.
Anyone is welcome to join this 100 challenge, but it is a sole effort.
State how many times you plan to go to the gym. Points are deducted as follows:
Twice per week: 11.29
Three times per week: 7.53
Four times per week: 5.65
Five times per week: 4.52
Six times per week: 3.76
Every day!: 3.23
I'm going to go 3 times a week, so I would deduct 7.53 points for each time I miss.

cnjlakes, no problem. I think it's a good one for beginners or those who have just got out of the way of going to the gym. It's certainly what I need. I also have my girlfriend doing the challenge, although she shies away from internet forums! But she said she'd go two times a week but went 3 times this week. So I gave her a gold star as a bonus! She's still on 100 points.
This week I was doing some CV to get my general fitness back up a little before starting some resistance training next week. I'll be going to the gym Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I might fit something in tomorrow too.

Just got in a good workout on my weights here at home. since I'm strapped for time during the week (kids activities), my weight training gets a little limited so I am starting 5:00 am runs (10 am your time!). It's a great feeling and the solitude is fantastic.
Where in Scotland do you live? Hopefully our next big vacation will be to your south in the Lakes District. My wife grew up near Coventry in England.
Sorry, just some post lift rambling!
cnjlakes Sat, October 13th, 2007, 09:22 PM Still AT 100, But need my run tomorrow to stay there. 5K yesterday, 75 minutes of weights today. Since I am making bare minimum, I may bump myself up to four times a week for the challenge. I'll get back to you tomorrow ;)
