i was looking for a home gym - i live in an apartment - so space is an issue (so is money) - i was looking at the Hoist V5 but the salesman (a guy i know for 10 years) suggested the Paramount FT-150

can anyone help me with my decision?

Like I said in your other post. The V5 is a very nice home gym. Inspire took eveything they have from hoist. You should be able to get a good price on the Hoist as they are changing their product line. Everything now will be customizable to you. You can get the fixed press, articulating arms, or straps, or all 3 if you want. Also you will be able to get the seated leg curl on any of them, not just the V5. You will also have the ability to get their new Roc-It leg press machine besides their regular leg press. Plus they have a high low pulley that will come off the side as an option. They are suppose to be out in like a month or so if you can wait that long. I am a certified trainer and I love the V2 gym they have. The one main thing I like about the V5 is the seated leg curl option.

The FT-150 can do a huge amount of stuff. It doesn't do the really big compounds that well but it does everything else pretty well.
