Hi - i'm new to the site.

i work out at home - i have a cybex stepper, set of power blocks, bench, chip-up bar, and dip stand

i'm concerned about safety - no spotter when working out with the power blocks

does it make sense to purchase a home gym - or do you think that i have all i need

i've read a lot about the hoist v5 - can anyone tell me what they know about it

would you recommend anything else?

Thanks

The V5 is one of the nicer homegyms out there but for about the same money, I would go for the Inspire M3. They are very similar but the M3 also has a Fixed pressing arm in addition to the isolateral arms (the Hoist V5 only has the Isolater arms). Here is a photo of the Inspire M3.

The V5 is a very nice home gym. Inspire took eveything they have from hoist. You should be able to get a good price on the Hoist as they are changing their product line. Everything now will be customizable to you. You can get the fixed press, articulating arms, or straps, or all 3 if you want. Also you will be able to get the seated leg curl on any of them, not just the V5. You will also have the ability to get their new Roc-It leg press machine besides their regular leg press. Plus they have a high low pulley that will come off the side as an option. They are suppose to be out in like a month or so if you can wait that long.
