Was in a Costco today ( B.C.,Canada). While there I noticed they had the Gold's Gym Pro Smith Machine for sale.
$999 Cdn.
This rig has 2 high pulleys, 1 low pulley, freesquat and freebench safeties, Butterfly rig, Smith rig, comes with 210 lbs of plates and has a bench that you could hold up the front end of a Kenworth with.
Plus the bench has a caster at the back for easy moving, plus several handles for pulldowns.
Also there is a preachercurl and leg extension add-on.
This rig sure looks like it can take some punishment.
Has oly-style plate collars on it. Not sure if you can take them off for one-inch-hole plates.
Could not find the weight limit for the Smith bar on the carton (of which there are 7). But I'm guessing the free-bar safeties will go 800lbs or better.
Just from looking at it, this rig looked pretty impressive for the money.
If you have one...how do you like it?
This is not the Marcy they had a while ago.
