Hey all,
I am celebrating that two years ago I decided enough was enough, and I started my weight loss adventure. I was 255 lbs. I felt horrible. Low self esteem, no motivation. I went out and bought a pair of running shoes, and started jogging.
A month later I went and bought a cheap-o bench and leg attachment from Wal-Mart (bad investment, but served the purpose at the time). I really had no idea what I was doing. I started lifting, in all the wrong ways. I then began designed routines, most notably Max OT. It worked fairly well, and by the following March I had lost 55lbs. That was quick!
I then started HIT, which helped me lose 27 more lbs. I reached that goal by May of 06, 8 months after I started. After a summer of stabilization, I resumed HIT, though I had suffered a torn rotator cuff, so for me, HIT was not right, being that it requires a level of intensity that was too much for my shoulder, again, at that time.
I kept the weight off until this summer, and after a lot of parties, going away on vacation, weight jumped to 189. I finally took the plunge and hired SwoleCat (Chris) to do SGX almost a week ago. I am back to 179.3lbs., and feeling great. The cut is going so well that I know I am going to do SwoledUp as soon as I'm done.
I must thank everyone who has helped me over the years. John, really, not sure I would be where I am without this site, and your example. Thanks. Rtestes, for his guidance along the HIT path...perhaps in the future we will work together again. To swole, for a killer program. And to everyone else on hte board who posts unselfishly.
Thank you all, you have given me my life back.
Regards,
Michael Kovacs
