View Full Version : Amount of carbs post workout

Hi guys.

I am looking for some advice here on post workout carbs. At present I do this:

Immediate Post Workout: 50g whey, 60g dextrose
45 minutes later: 1/2 can tuna, 50g pasta
45 minutes later: 100g chicken, 50g brown rice, 100g broccoli

This amounts to around 100g carbs (ones in bold). The only other carbs I eat in the day are the Oats at breakfast (30g) an orange (not sure) and another 100g broccoli later on in the day.

Basically, am I eating too many carbs? As I do not want these turning into fat cells :mad:

Which says for me (191lbs@15%BF) that I should have 148g of carbs post workout. Sounds like quite a lot, but is basically in line with what I was eating in my example in the first post...
