So my wife has decided she doesn't like the weight the current scale shows and thinks it must be because of the scale :).
It IS an old scale though...and does have the habit of weighing you three different weights if you step on it three different times...so I guess I have to agree to some extent that it's time for a replacement.
Anyone have a suggestion for one they've found to be consistent? Within reason...price really isn't a consideration.

Currently I use a TANITA set of scales which also have the ability to measure your body fat percentage.
It has a small separate screen attached by a data cable to the scales, the scales record your weight and body fat percentage and the small screen will show you a graph over time of your values.
They weren't cheap, about £100 or so as I remember but the graph is quite good for losing weight as its quite a motivator for weight loss ! :tucool:

I purchased that a little over a month ago. I've found it to be very consistent, and I did a few tests where I picked up a pint of water and watched my weight go up a pound. I chose Salter because I received a Salter digital food scale which I have also found to be of good quality.
What I really like about it compared to my old old-fashioned scale is that there is no more cheating. I guess I have larger than average feet (size 13), and this scale is plenty accommodating for them. With my old scale, I think it was too small for me feet, which apparently made my weight off a bit. I consistently weigh 5 more pounds on my new scale than I do on the old one.
Your wife will probably like it a little more because it's pretty sharp looking IMO.

Thanks to both of you!
I'll let her pick between these two and the 2 others that were suggested on a different forum. Really...I just want it to be consistent...regardless of what actual number is displayed for me. I think though that I'm going to have to "forget" to mention the additional 5lbs you saw on yours rapp...I have a feeling that would automatically knock it off the list!:D!
