Long Story Short:
I am a college student at one of the best schools in the south-east. This is my Journal.

STARTING STATS:
I'm not posting my starting weigh because I ate like a hog this past weekend and have quite a bit of water-retention right now. I'll post it Tuesday or Wed.

Height: 6'0''
Age: 21 Yrs.
Weight: TBA
Waist: 44''
Hips: 39''
Biceps: 15''
Chest 47''
Quads: 24.5''
Calf: 17''

Training Plan:
I have had great sucess with a four day split, I'm going to employ it for the first two months then switch out to either a fullbody routine or a new training style I have never done before. My Cardio is 45 Minutes of Aerobic level cardio, either Pre-workout or Fasted AM, whichever mood strikes me on the given day. I will rotate between Elliptical machine, Bikes, and an Indoor Running Track.
Mon: Cardio / Upper Body
Tues:Cardio/ Lower body
Wed:Cardio
Thurs:Cardio/Upper Body
Fri: Cardio/Lower Body
Sat:Cardio
Sun:Cardio

Let me first say that I cut well with lots of Cardio. Let me secondly say that HIIT will be mixed in at the onset of Month 3 or 12% BF whichever comes first. Or rather HIIT will be added on Wed, Sat, and Sun. At that point I may drop 1-2 of the daily sessions of aerobic level cardio.

My Lifts: My Lifts will be these for the first 2 months. Maybe less If I adapt sooner.

Uppers: (in this order)
Bench-Press : Starting at 55# on Each side.
Bent-Over Row: Starting at 30# (each side)
Lat Pull Down: 105 #
Standing DB Press: 40# Db's
Dumbell Flyes: 20# Db's.

Lowers (In this Order): [Something is not correct with my bb squat form, I have a tendency to bend forward almost into a good morning on the squat, I am trying to correct this]
Barbell Squat: 185#
Deadlift: 185#
Hanging Leg Raises: 3 sets of 20
Leg Curls: 125#
Leg Press: 310#
Calf Raises: 135#

I'm eating around 2400 Cals a day. This is spread into 3-4 meals, which ideally should be 5-6 meals, however, it's a giant pain in the ass, so i'm sticking to 3-4 for the time being. I'll probably kick it into 5-6 after the first month or two.

I think this about sums up my plan. I'm doing it for 4 months. I'm not cutting at Christmas, so I have until then to kick ass. Do it, Do it Big!

Saw my Ex today, It's funny but seeing an ex always puts me in a horrible mood. It tends to last for the 24 hours immedietly following their presence, coincidence?

My Workout was pretty good today, I went up 5#'s on all my exercises except for Flyes, which I did on the machine because my shoulder was giving me grief. Cardio was post-workout today full 45 minutes session, 6.31 miles on the elliptical.

Nutrition was spot on, I've eaten all my meals except for the last one, which I will consume shortly. I will weigh myself tomorrow morning and post a starting weight.

Thoughts: Life is strange.
-Out.

Edit: Edited because I can't spell.

Joined a Flag football team today, We play at 5:00 pm on Thursdays. This means i'm pushing my Thursday workouts back from 1:00 to 6:30 or so. Also Watched the movie "Prey", Bridget Moyahnan is hot. Especially when chased by lions.

My Workout was awesome, I think i've mostly corrected the errors in my squat form, however, deadlifts, as always were my best exercise.

I cut cardio back from 45 minutes to 30 because my compression shorts were chaffing in bad areas. It was very awkward walking the rest of the day.

Thoughts: Managing time in college is tough. I want a motorcycle.

I'm not very excited about am cardio tomorrow:mad:, but it's gotta be then because the next chance I get is at 6:35 .

Nutrition was spot on today, I skipped Cardio. I just didn't feel like it after getting out of labs and my groin area is still somewhat sensitive.

Cardio, Flag football and Upper weight training tomorrow! Fun times!:D

I'm so stupid.

I completely forgot to post my starting weight [236 lb's]. Sorry, that should have been done yesterday.

I played flag football today and did my weight lifting afterwards. I skipped the cardio because I didn't have the energy for it. I figure blitzing the quarterback 400 times must be some kind of decent interval training because I feel like I met 4 shady guys in an alley somewhere.

I had a bit of a splurge today, Since it was the first day of flag football I ate 50+ grams of carbs than normal in the form of a sandwhich. Other than that i've been alright with my meals.

I'm so tired, and there is so much work to do. I have no idea how i'm going to get it all done tonight. (Of course it's all due tomorrow morning haha Vive Le Procrastination!) Everything hurts. even my eyelids. I didn't think my eyelids could hurt. It feels like they have been doing little clean and presses with my eyelashes.

Thoughts: I need new cleats, my are tore up . And never, ever buy compression shorts from walmart.

I just finished doing legs. I really do need to do AM cardio on leg days, it just doesn't feel that great doing a massive squat/dead set then hitting the bike for 45 minutes.

Nutrition was good today, I even decided to swap out my banana at lunch for a few handfuls of blueberries. My first cheat meal of this cut is tonight and were having MEXICAN! Hooray!!!!! I will however be abstaining from alcohol (unfortunately). :nope:

I bought some new cleats and a new set of brand name compression shorts today, I tried them out with my lifts, and i am 100X more satisfied with them than my old shorts. They don't even chaff doing cardio. I'd probably wear them everywhere if I could. :jumping:

The weekend derailed me a bit, but i'm back on again this week. I guess i'll have to get rid of all my friends If I want to ever be sucessful at this weight loss thing. They are, appartently, mutually exclusive.

I'm upping my meals from 3 to 5 this week. Along with changing from Elliptical to Recumbent Bike as my form of cardio. I expect to see some nice results from these changes fairly quickly since A: More meals works and B: I haven't done any cardio on a bike for over two years now. So I KNOW my body isn't going to adjust easily or quickly to it.

Haha, It's funny. All my life I've used food as a comfort source and it's very difficult to resist the urge to break down and have a pizza when your day turns sour.

Oh well, Two tests down and no pepperoni sight. Two more to go, but who knows about tomorrow.

Thoughts: Do they have a Food-A-holics Anonymous? One Day at A time.

Skipped breakfast today, that's a def. no no but I was running super late and it was either miss the class or skip the oats.

I'm about to head off and do my cardio/lifts I'll edit afterwards and post my reactions.

I did end up having some pizza last night and feel like utter crap today. Go me.

Really starting to like the idea of a food-a-holics anon.
Edit:

WEEEE! Learning about concrete is fun......yeah.....Anyway, found out tonight that when my school plays "Zombie Nation" or Kernkraft 400 BY Zombie Nation as everyone else knows it, our stadium moves a bit in the upper deck! Huzzah! We are literally bringing the house down~!

Also, look for a long post tomorrow night for my changing ideas on food.

I'm such a slacker...Haha

I ended up doing fairly well on my exams this past week. However, I did something to both of my legs, I think I may have sprained/pulled my quads during our flag football game. I didn't warm up properly and I believe that is what lead to this injury. I'm not sure what exactly it is, but i've been using HI-RICE to treat it, + Mega-dosing fish oil and it seems to be working fairly well.

I've skipped both of my two workouts in-order to properly recover from my injury. I'm not trying to be gimpy all day here. :nono:

I got a 2 Lb london broil for 5$'s today! It's gonna make some great sandwhich-bagel's next week.

I'm excited about my Clemson Tiger's dropping a load of points on NC State this weekend as well. Go Tigers!

If my leg feels well enough tomorrow, i'm going to do liss cardio over the weekend, and resume my regular weight training Monday. I don't know how long this injuries normally last, but hopefully it isn't too bad.

All in all, things are looking up!:tu:

Uhm yeah. Lots to do today.

I'm going back to the gym a day early, my leg feels good enough that i'm willing to try putting some serious weight on it.

I've got two papers to write today and a couple of mechanics problems to do. Well, one is a lab report and the other is an actual "paper".

Somedays you eat the bear. And somedays, well...

Ate 6 meals today. Which is half a month ahead of schedule for me moving to a six meal rotation. Hooray! I also did my 45 minutes of cardio on the stationary bike and my Upper Lift.

I HAVE CHANGED MY LIFTS! (I know I have serious program ADD)

Actually i'm using all the same exercises, I just upped the weight about 10% and dropped from a 3X8 set to a 5X5 set on almost all of them.
I've thrown in a close grip barbell bench press because I felt my triceps were looking fairly puny over the past few weeks and they needed to be taught a lesson. Those are the only set that is on a 3X8 rotation right now. ! Oh I also changed the regular BB Bench to an Incline BB Bench, just for the hell of it.

Tomorrow is leg day. I cannot begin to describe the terror that I am associating with a 5X5 on leg day. I shall find scant little sleep tonight. Haaa...

Why do I let my teams performance dictate my mood?

Had TWO unscheduled cheat meals last night because I was sad about losing to GT.:spank:

Scales say 239 this morning, some of that is probably water, but I'd say it's fair to say i've screwed over any gains I made for the past week. Body is still noticeable leaner than when I started a month ago, even though there is very little scale difference. :bang:

No Bike today, Still feeling like dung from my cheats. Liss/Uppers are tomorrow.

Cleaning/fixing meals today and writing a literary review.

Workout today was amazing. Amazing like I heard 'Fanfare for the Common Man' in my head as I was completing it. I've never felt like this after a workout.

I feel like I am made out of Steel.

Jai Guru Deva Om.

What goes up.....I went out with my ex Friday. Worst descision i've ever made. The good news is that I destroyed my statistics test tonight, and tomorrow is leg day so yay!

I've been extremely lax with nutrition lately, i'm starting to wonder If i really want to be thin and tonned and good looking. This type of thinking always leads me to consider steriods which I ultimately reject on the principle of it would cost too much/ the complications are too much if something were to go wrong. THIS always leads me to wonder If I even care about my bodies health or I care about looking good. Which leads me back into whether I care about looking good .....

Nothings gonna change my world.

I'm doing too much cardio.

Or I think so at least. It's taking up too much time and is becoming inncentive for me to not go to the gym. So I'm making a wee change here.

From this point forward, I'll be keeping my lifting schedule of M,T Th,F BUT No cardio will be done on lifting days and HIIT Training will be added on W, Sat, Sun.

This was actually a planned change, but it's being implimented sooner than I would have liked. :blank:

Haaaaa....Yeah. About that weight loss thing?

235 Lbs

Although I've only gone up one lb on the scale, I feel like i've gained 4-5 lbs of fat mass and lost some muscle. I guess that's what happens when you let your diet and exercise go to shit for two and a half weeks at a time. I have no excuse, other than being a pansy, and not making the time to go to the gym. :o

Well. Tomorrow is a new Day.

Hi OrangeTiger,
Just wanted to comment on how similar positions we are in. it seems like we have very similar body's right now. Anyways, I know how hard it is to get to the gym, and cook food, and everything else, just stick with it, the results will come.

Best of luck...:bb:

234 Lbs

I'm corn-fused.

I haven't touched the weights or ate at all healthy for the past three weeks and my scale weight was the LOWEST THAT IT HAS BEEN in the past six months.

And when I say i'm eating bad, I mean i'm eating straight up dirty. Pizza, those cape cod potato chips, beer, oreos (actually the beer and the oreos went REALLY well together)(Although, I did eat my steel-cut oatmeal every single day for breakfast, I really do love the stuff.)

I just don't get it.

ANYWAY, I decided to go back to the gym tomorrow. I bought some more chicken and such and am going to start back with my meals tomorrow too. I planned on starting back today, but I got sidetracked with writing a paper.

PS. Hi Joe! I'm glad that somebody who read my journal finally posted :D. It's nice not to be so lonely on here. Thanks for the goodluck wishes and same to you!

Hey Tiger :)
Figure I would say hello too since you were feeling lonely.
I'm in the same boat as you with the discipline slipping when it comes to diet and exercise. Best of luck getting yourself back on track. I am sure you can do it. :tu:
