Hi everyone, quick question that I'm sure could have many answers.
What would you define as "fasted" cardio? What I mean is, how many hours would you go without eating prior to your cardio workout that you'd consider it "fasted"? That non-eating, would you go without any liquids as well, or just drink water only?
Thanks!
Tim

I consider "fasted", later in the day, to be about 2-2.5 hours removed from my previous meal. I also only have protein/fat combinations in that previous meal - absolutely no carbs.
That's a reasonable way to approximate "fasted" beyond the typical definition we apply to overnight fasting.

The way I've done it before when I did my intial fat loss was fasted cardio in the morning, perhaps a cup of black coffee or green tea before (no milk in coffee).

I concur with the stipulation that the protein/fat meal be a liquid meal. As in a peanut butter, whey shake.
