Greetings everyone,

I'm 6', 175lbs, 39yrs. I'm not really overweight, just have a couple of small love handles. I do however, want to tone up and build some muscle.

I work full time, married, have a 1yr old son and take two college level courses at night. So, I don't have a lot of free time. I've decided that I should probably do my workout in the mornings right after I wake up.

I would like to know what I should do prior to lifting weights in the morning. I'm concerned about crawling out of the bed and lifting weights; could I pull a muscle or hurt something else? Should I stretch or will that work it's self out in the lifting.

I could also use some advice on a routine to put on muscle/weight. I've always been skinny and had a fast metabolism (it's slowed in recent years). However, I don't want to be a fanatic, I'm not in a big hurry -- just want to get a healthy routine and end up with some "guns" :flex: maybe four to six months down the road.

Oh, I have a Marcy bench (http://www.amazon.com/Marcy-MWB-716-Olympic-Bench/dp/B000J3KZ76) and about 240lbs in Olympic weights.

Thanks for your attention.
