Whole eggs bad for cutting? My understanding that most of the protein is in the yoke (as well as the fat), but the fat in eggs is low in sat. fat. Just intrested in hearing the lastest thoughts.

Thank you.

the protein that you want is in the egg white. the yolk is filled with cholesterol. i personally ditch the yolks, but you can eat just one yolk a day if you want.

You can eat more than that. I go through more than that and don't worry too much about it. Most of the nutrients found in eggs are in the yolks, so if you avoid them complete, you're missing out on some good stuff (not to mention taste!) :)

Dietary cholesterol isn't nearly as highly correlated with serum cholesterol as we've been led to believe, and lots of studies are showing this now.

Plus, cholesterol and saturated fats are important for hormone production, especially testosterone.

So while you don't want to overdo either of those things, don't completely hide from them, either. Only 1/3 of the fat in eggs is saturated, with actually a slightly larger portion of the fat being monounsaturated (like in olive oil).

It's a subject that does come up occasionally, and understandably. The hype against eggs has become ingrained, just like all the other anti-fat hype.

Now the question is what if you eat yolks while doing HITT? Will that be better than whites while doing LISS? :D;)

My breakfast lately has been 2 cups broccoli, 3 eggs, 1 piece of bacon, and 1-1.5 oz cheese.
