Hi all,
I am a little confused at the moment I am new to the forum have posted pictures of 5 week process. I can see results but not as much as I would like though and not as much as I think I am capable of. I thought that if I tried to cut fat and build muscle I could do it slowly but alot of people are saying that it is very hard to cut and build at the same time is this true?
I have decided that if I can not do both at once I am going to cut but I think I will have to look at my meal plan I have a portion of carbs with every meal except my last meal before I go to bed I only have protein. If I cut out some of the carbs from my meal plan will this help in the reduction of fat and will I be able to still get lean muscle while I keep my protein intake high?
Any advice will be much appreciated thank you.

It is hard to cut and build muscle at the same time unless you know exactly what you are doing. It happens, but it's rare. That being said if you are new to weightlifting for about the first 6 months your body will be able to do both as it is new, after around 6 months your body will adapt and it is pretty much one or the other.

If you arent losing enough fat it is because you are eating to much. I would make sure to monitor calories and macronutrients. Make sure you are getting plenty of healthy fats. I know a lot of people love Fat Free Cottage Cheese/Peanut Butter before they go to bed as they help eachother out. Yes you can reduce the carbohydrates, but it is more calories that will do it then anything. A basic macronutrient ratio is 40p/40c/20f and lots of people have success with that one. Read Marcus' sticky at the top if more info.

On days I work out I like to have carbs during my last meal. On days I do not I just have a protein/fat meal. Experiment and find out what works for your body.
