I'd only trust them to monitor my own progress, like for HIIT. I know that in the past I could push myself to go 29mph on my stationary bike for 15 seconds at a time every minute, and that felt like 105% RPE. Evenually the RPE went down at 29mph, but there's no way I can think of for a more accurate benchmark.

hello, i am new here and im not sure if this is the right place to post?..
anyway i am having trouble answering this question because i dont know anything to it..
this is the question
What are the limitations to using HR and RPE to monitor the intensity of exercise?
Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE)
Heart Rate (HR)
Heart rate is very effective as long as the set it not very short.
Once you have a lot of experience, RPE is not that bad.
