Hello to all,
I am new here and would like to introduce myself as you can see user name is leandom beacuse everyone calls me Dom and I would really like to be lean. I am 25 and over the past few years I have found myself in a rutt that seemed to be unescapable. In 2002 I weighed a lean 76kg and then maccas did the ultimate and bought out the $20 familly meal well I have a wife and I have a son and to tell you the truth my wife does not eat that much and my son well he is only three so I pritty much I had one of these meals to my self in case you do not know what are in them here you go.
2 big macs:drool:
2 cheese burgers
4 medium fries
10pk nuggets
4 medium cokes
So I think I would buy 3 or 4 of these a week and pritty much eat it my self for dinner not to mention what I would eat for lunch, generally 2 meat pies and a cream filled donut. Well here came the weight up to a unhealthy 94kgs (207 pounds) not good at all always lazy and really always wanting to eat.
It really struck me hard when my son decided that he would like me to go rollerblading with him and my wife turned around and said daddy can not do that he is getting to old (hold the phone) what do you mean to old I replied to her. She said well that was just a nicer thing to say then you are getting to fat. After a discussion with her about it she said that I am really lazy and the fact that she did not find me as attractive as she did before cutt me deep. I thought how vein but really I was not the man that she married and I think I would not like it if she stacked on heaps of weight.
So my quest began searching the net for anything that was a quick fix for weight loss, pills and these fad diets. But in taking on one of these diets it did not say anything about building lean hard muscle. So I decided that I needed to search for alternative ways to lose fat and build muscle and 10 weeks ago I came accross this site so I started to gather information.
Ok so weight training and cardio and a good clean diet was going to work I was thinkning to myself weight training I am going to just get alot more tired after doing weights and cardio that is going to kill me. But all the people on here are saying how great they feel and they are looking great so after 5 weeks of surching for nutritional food and the best exercises for me and what sort of cardio would not kill me I started my training.
I was weak I could not lift nearly as much as I could lift 5years ago and the cardio pritty much did kill me I found out I have ashma the hard way. But anyway treking on all this did not put me off at all it just made me want to get back in there and keep going harder. So for 5 weeks I have been training and eating properly for and I have never felt better everyone one this forum is to thank I have posted pictures in the gallery and will be updating them as I go.
