to cut your stomach and chest you have to decrease body fat. you cant cut a certain area. You can build up the size of the muscle but if it is hiding under excess body fat you wont see definition. to see your abs you wil need to get to 10% body fat or lower.

Like badgolfer said, there aren't any lifts that "cut" you more than others; a low bodyfat % is what you need to make your muscles appear more defined.

What are your stats (height/weight)? If you're at 5% bf and still aren't seeing definition between your stomach and chest, you probably need to build up your chest a lot more. Dumbell bench press and dips (leaning forward) are two good mass-builders for chest.
BTW, the separation ("bottom cut") you're talking about between the chest and stomach is largely genetic. It's all in the shape of the muscle and the way it attaches to the tendon.

if you really have five percent body fat than you just have to build up the overall muscle. the chest muscles work togethor so continue doing bench press(flat will target chest more than incline) and flyes. in time the center will come togethor and the bottom will fill out. check johns pics. you will see how his chest gradually begins to form. sorry i dont have a quick solution for you but i believe most people will give you the same info. :gl:

i have heard that doing less weight more reps with make the muscles more cutt and stuff...is that true? No. Looking cut is about bf % in relation to lean mass. You can look cut by doing heavy 5-rep sets, if your diet is right on.
If you're 5% bf (which I question, since most pro bb's are happy to hit that for a contest day) and still want to look more "cut", my guess is you need to put on some muscle.

no its not. very common misconception. use heavy weight to build up the muscle. some people swear by sets of ten reps other by sets of six reps. i do three sets of ten. i usually dont make it to ten on my third set because the muscles fail.
