After 2.5 months of cutting, and having success in the first 1.5 months, I am trying to break through what I think is a plateau in fat loss....

So, here's my journal starting today, April 21st:

My workout: 30 mins. on bike @ 70% of Max HR. at 6:30 AM

Lifting: Shoulders / lats
3x10 shoulder presses
3x10 side and front raises
3x10 upright row
3x15 shrugs

Abs
3x10 side bends
3x25 weighted crunches
3x15 Leg Lifts

Lower Back
3x10 "supermans"

Nutrition:

Meal 1: 5 eggwhites w/ green peppers, slice of lowfat ham

Meal 2: Coffee, Celery Sticks, Apple, Small yogurt

Meal 3: Mixed Salad with sunflower seeds and tuna

Meal 4: 3/4 cup Oatmeal w/ Whey Protein (scoup)

Meal 5: Cup of low fat cottage cheese w/ blueberries

Meal 6: Rib Eye steak w/ cauliflower and squash

Meal 7: PWO shake and brown rice

Time for bed!

Leg Day!!!
3 sets Leg Press, Pyramid Scheme
3x10 calf raises
3x10 Hamstring Curls
3x10 Lunges
3x10 Quad Lifts

Nutrition: Same as previous day except Lunch - Turkey Sandwhich on wheat, lettuce and tomato, and Dinner - Chicken breast w/ corn and cuscous.....

After a 4 day break I'm back....

Workout:
Chest: 3x10, 8, 6 FLies, DB Incline Bench, Bench
Tris: 3x10,8,6 Skull Crushers, 3 versions of pushdowns (different angles)

Nutrition:
Same as above, chicken dinner....

Workout: 45 mins on stationary bike @ 70% max hr

Abs: Hanging crunch - 3X15
Weighted Crunches - 25
Side Raises - 3x10

Nutrition: Same as above, Sushi for dinner....

Workout: 40 mins of biking....pretty damn fast!

Nutrition: same as above, healthy burrito for dinner....

cheat day - Derby Day!

Nutrition: an IV hooked into a pitcher of Mint Juleps :p

Workout: Back and Bis:
Raise glass, set glass down, repeat 15 times.

Cardio: 45 mins of drunken dancing with friends after I won 60 bucks on CLiff's Edge (5 to 1). :tu:

Nutrition: Same as above, chicken for dinner....

Saturday May 8th

Nutrition: 5 Eggs, red pepper, canadian bacon for breakfast. Turkey Sandwich for lunch, Steak, artichoke, corn for dinner. Powerbar for snack while hiking.

Workout: 4 mile strenuous hike, great weather, great views!

Nutrition:

Same as usual, except Turkey sandwich at lunch and lamb chops at dinner

Workout: golf - 5 hour round, walking, very hilly course in 90 deg. heat....whew!

Nutrition: Same as above, except for lunch: whole wheat burrito with gucamole, lettuce, chicken, black beans, brown rice (not bad, no?)
and dinner - sushi....mmmmm

Workout: Shoulder, Lats:
3x10 front and side raises
3x12 shrugs
3x10, 8, 6 shoulder presses
3x10, 8, 6 upward row

30 mins @ 70% max hr biking

Nutrition: Same as above, except Indian dish of chicken and spinach, brown rice, and veggies...

Workout: Abs and 30 mins. running - 2.7 miles completed!

I've been too busy the last few days to post, but I've continued on a good diet, with some alchol on Friday night at a graduation party.

In terms of excerise - I did two long hikes which lasted 3 hours a piece - plenty of cardio....

Nutrition: Same as above, with sushi for lunch, and veggie chili with spinach for dinner.

Workout: Chest & Tris

3x10, 8, 6 on bench, flies, incline

3x10, 8, 6 on skull crushers, pulldowns (two angles)

Abs: typ. routine....

Well, back from a long break in Hawaii, Boston, DC. (all pleasure).

While away I drank too much in Hawaii, Boston, DC (30th b-day).

While away I ate pretty well except for a few cheat days in which I eat too much junk :mad:

In Hawaii I was def. comfortable on the beach compared to the way I was in January, but not close to being satisfied. I really am bummed about this plateau - I cannot seem to get out of it. I'm gonna continue to eat really clean, and try some running and biking for cardio and see what happens.

Aside from that, my excersise in Hawaii consisted of hiking all around Kauai, and I played a sick round of golf at Princeville. I swam everyday, but not too rigorously.

Anyway, today, June 23rd, I am back at it.
Food: I ate my normal diet, no cheating!

Workout: Chest & Tris day
3x10, 3x8, 3x6 bench, incline presses, flies
3x10, 3x8, 3x6 skull crusher, pulldowns, rev. pulldowns...

Bike: 30 mins....
